About Me
I am a Clinical Psychologist Registrar with a deep interest in how our developmental and relational experiences shape who we are and influence how we navigate life’s challenges. My passion for psychology comes from my deep fascination with the diversity, uniqueness, and resilience of the human mind, so in my approach to therapy I am most interested in a person-centered focus. This means I will work collaboratively with you to develop a comprehensive understanding of your unique experiences, personality, and the underlying patterns that may be affecting your wellbeing.
With experience in both short- and long-term therapeutic settings, I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities to support personal growth and address current or enduring difficulties. My approach is centered on curiosity, empathy, and co-exploration, with a focus on seeing you — or your child — as a whole person, rather than as a symptom or problem.
Experience
I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families across the lifespan. I am particularly experienced in working with Young People aged 12 to 25. While I have experience in a variety of areas, I am especially passionate about helping those who have experienced sexual assault/abuse or childhood sexual abuse. Through my previous work with the Sexual Assault Resource Centre (SARC) in Perth, WA, I have developed focused skills in the treatment of interpersonal trauma. Additionally, I offer support for a wide range of issues, including challenges related to alcohol and drug use, personality challenges, interpersonal difficulties, and complex trauma.
In addition to SARC and private settings, I have extensive experience across public and private sectors. This includes my previous work at SARC and at an Adult Community Drug and Alcohol service, supporting clients with substance use challenges alongside medical professionals. I also worked at Perth Children’s Hospital, working with children with complex medical needs, and in this role I supported refugee families through the Refugee Health Service. From this experience I gained a familiarity in working with interpretors. Lastly, as a former school-based psychologist, I have experience in collaborating with schools and education staff to enhance secondary student well-being.
